I write in my capacity as the regular columnist on Health and safety matters since 1994 in the UK trade journal ‘Elevation’. I also serve on various safety related British and European Standards Committees.
In my opinion, the Stronghold lift product brings simplicity and safety to lift installation. I have investigated many falls down lift shafts and reports of falls globally are regular. In my opinion this product will go along way to reducing those statitics and thus reducing fatalities and serious injuries. In addition the product provides harness and lifting points which will reduce the need for long slings to be used thus reducing potential fall distances and reducing the possibility of slings getting caught up and/or worn against abrasive surfaces over long distances. In ,my opinion this product will go along way towards achieving compliance with the industry recognised standard BS7255 ‘safe working on lifts’.
I gain no reward, financial or otherwise from making this statement and will be reviewing the product in trade journals globally.
Yours Sincerely

We have used the Stronghold fall protection as we were removing 17 lifts at 1oo Liverpool Street in Loindon which was over 9 floors and with the main contractor being Sir Robert McAlpine.
Sir Rbert McAlpine’s safety advisor was very pleased to see this piece of equipment used as the harnesses are connected at a high level where they are normally fixed to the floor and when people are working at the edge of the lift shafts, this is not good practice.
We as a company think this is a brilliant piece of equipment and even the engineers are pleased to use it as it makes their job easier and safer when working at height at the lift entrances. Also the piece of equipment has a function of being lowered down to use as a barrier to close of the entrance so you do not require 2 different pieces of equipment.

Dear Daniel,
Just a note to thank you and let you know that the window installation went well at Charter House the YMCA building and your training for the Stronghold system really useful. All concerned, operatives, customer and tenants were all impressed with the method of installation and the use of the Stronghold. The savings on scaffolding was immense due to the staircases being at each end of the building and both 10 floors tall.
I would estimate the savings at £20,000.00 at least and the safety greatly enhanced by using the Stronghold rather than scaffolding.
I will be in touch for training new operatives in the future.
Yours sincerely

The stronghold was presented in front of potential customers, where it produced a lot of interest and excitement for its appealing cost saving and health and safety measures for keeping people that work at height safe. We immediately purchased one when we saw it, as we look for innovative products to hire out that other companies don’t have in their fleet. The way that I present this equipment to my customers is as follows; it’s cheaper than scaffolding out an entire lift shaft, has a great fall prevention system, and also makes a safe environment for the public and the engineers when working with open spaces where falls are a high risk. We had this product out on hire pretty much straight away to one of our customers (LIFT OUT LTD) for 5 weeks.
They were very happy with the product, its uses, and the main site contractor’s health and safety officers were also very impressed with the stronghold and how it cures a lot of problems for them on site. The stronghold will be a great tool for the construction industry. It solves problems when the health and safety of workers on-site, as well as those working in front of areas with open drops such as lift shafts and open widows etc. The red netting also makes it stand out to the eye so that people can see that there is a danger in the area permitted for works. A visual aid is a fantastic tool when combating people that aren’t taking care in the area surrounding them. This also applies to the public, if works are being conducted in pedestrian areas. To summarise the stronghold from my personal view. It is a lightweight and quick to assemble piece of equipment that is easy to construct and simple to use.
This makes it a strong contender to other working at height products that are already on the market that can be used in many different applications and environments. Please contact me if you require any other information.

I just want to take this opportunity to feedback on how stronghold has supported our
business needs since we purchased the product in December 2014.
We had obtained a 5 year contract to undertake maintenance on 5x 24 story tower blocks
in Camden, London (700+ apartments). I was looking for a cost effective way in which to
carry out this work and came across your product alongside another product that the
French equivalent to the SAS use to abseil out of buildings. Both myself and my Client
decided that the Stronghold was by far the better product for the project, our client
especially liked that it has it’s own barrier system there by keeping unauthorised personnel
out of the working area, ensure safety requirements are adhered to.
The benefit of Stronghold is it is easily transported and erected, we leave this equipment
on one of our vans at all times in case of emergencies (please see attached email).
Scaffolding was not an option for our client as would have cost in excessive of £2 million.
My Engineers are fully trained in using Stronghold and feel completely safe when using
this. They have said that they feel it was a much safer option than standing on scaffolding
or abseiling on the outside of a high rise building.
We have been using this product for over a year with no issues at all, we have undertake
the project we bought the stronghold for but as a result of purchasing this product we have
secured a further 7 year contract as this has given our company the competitive edge. We
also use Stronghold on our other contracts where sometimes we could be working of a
ladder, now we work from the inside and lean out whilst be attached to the Stronghold.
Engineers again feel this is a much safer alternative to a ladder, and I would agree.
By also offering this product to other Clients I am able to offer alternatives to traditional
and costly methods which has seen my business grow as a result.
I am looking at further ways Stronghold can help grow my business and would not hesitate
to recommend this product to others.
Kind Regards

This article was written by our valued customer Sash Smart who are an extremely fast growing, London based company of experts specialising in repairs, maintenance and replacements of traditional sliding sash windows. They have worked on many beautiful properties as well as such particularly high profile buildings such as the Calvary and Guards Club as well as Cambridge Cottages – Richmond upon Thames.
“Sash Smart go above and beyond other companies when it comes to service and we are constantly looking for ways to improve our installation methods and reduce costs for our clients.
When working on period buildings the thought of erecting ugly and obstructive scaffold is something that all of our clients want to avoid, in some cases & in some areas of London the use of scaffold can also be refused. On top of this scaffold is an expense that our Clients gain no lasting benefit from.
As this was such a concern for our clients we researched the industry and found that there was a piece of very new equipment that meant we could carry out our installation without scaffold.
No scaffold has allowed us to reduce the job cost for our clients, which has since led to us win more work, we are also winning jobs where scaffold had been refused. We have also been able to start and complete jobs quicker (without relying on a scaffolding company to erect and pack up their gear), Other parts of the buildings we have worked on have been able to operate as usual without being temporarily defaced by scaffold and most importantly for us our staff can now work from inside and not at height on the scaffold.
This new piece of equipment is called Stronghold® (Mobile Anchor and Barrier System) and is the latest range developed by Award winning Glazesafe Ltd .
After speaking to Daniel from Glazesafe we knew that this was the answer we were looking for and purchased a set. Our fitting teams can set up the light weight Stronghold in minutes and they do not need any tools to do so. It is unlike other anchor systems where a number of heavy load plates are required and the whole set weighs around 30Kg. The Stronghold also has extra anchor points for tools and product. Our fitters have utilised this and now use tools lanyards connected to the Stronghold to prevent them dropping anything.”
